A New Chapter for St. Mary’s Outreach Center

It is with a heavy heart, and with great anticipation, that I share with you that I will be retiring as Executive Director. I am delighted to announce that Tasha Cornish will be the new Executive Director of St. Mary’s Outreach Center.

Tasha first came to St. Mary’s Outreach Center as an intern while she was completing her masters degree at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Since graduation, she has gained experience in community health administration and  chronic disease management, and has stayed      involved with SMOC by serving on the Board of Directors. Tasha’s professional and personal skills make her an excellent fit for the position of Executive Director, and I am excited to watch St. Mary’s thrive under her direction.

This is my eleventh year as the Executive Director, and I have enjoyed every one of them. It has been a blessing to me to be able to serve the senior population in the Greater Hampden Community.  Serving each one of my clients has been like helping my mom or dad, and words cannot express my gratitude for the warmth I have felt over the years. While I am stepping down from the Executive Director position, I will continue to work at St. Mary’s Outreach Center part-time to help our clients meet the challenge of living self-sufficiently with dignity and respect.

Forever thankful,

Sandra Simmons, Executive Director
